At the last year’s final plenary session of the autumn session parliamentarians adopted a resolution “On approval of the agenda of the regular spring session in 2017 of the People’s Council of the Donetsk People’s Republic, I convocation.”
According to the People’s Council’s Chairman Denis Pushilin, the bulk of the bills, included in the agenda of the spring session, carries a social orientation.
“None of us was a savvy politician, when he came to the People’s Council two years ago. But during this time many have grown substantially. There are, of course, gaps in the countryside, with citizens, with the solution of social problems. Therefore, special attention in the coming year will be given to the bills in the humanitarian and social sphere. We are building a socially oriented state, and must comply with the slogans declared earlier.
With regard to legislative work, I believe that it is important not the number of adopted legal acts and their implementation in the future. Each passed law requires certain regulatory framework which relevant ministries and departments should develop and adopt. If they do not keep up with the pace of the parliament, the law will not work,” Denis Pushilin emphasized.
