Eight innocent civilians were wounded. The woman died in front of her son, who was taken to hospital with severe injuries. The boy remained an orphan. Those are the consequences of the Ukrainian military’s flagrant actions only in the last two days.
These victims and these ceasefire violations will be the first issue on the agenda of tomorrow’s meeting of the subgroup on security in Minsk. Until Ukraine stops neglecting the Package of Measures implementation and starts implementing the agreement on the disengagement of forces and facilities, it is extremely difficult to talk about peace in the Donbass.
At the upcoming meeting, we will continue to insist on the need to promptly conduct the disengagement of forces and facilities in the third pilot site, Stanitsa Luganskaya, and the withdrawal of prohibited weapons from the contact line. Only in this way we will be able to protect our citizens from new shellings of the ‘valiant’ Ukrainian army.
