On May 23, a meeting of the People’s Council’s Committee on Budget, Finance and Economic Policy was held, at which parliamentarians considered proposals and comments on the draft law “On the State Material Reserve.”
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Finance.
According to the Chairman of the Committee Marina Zheynova, the adoption of the bill is conditioned by the need to establish common principles for the formation, placement, storage, use, replenishment and refreshment of the reserves of the state material reserve.
“The draft law “On the State Material Reserve” is designed to build legal and organizational bases for the formation and functioning of the state material reserve in the Donetsk People’s Republic, aimed at ensuring a unified state policy in the specified area,” Marina Zheynova said.
Also, the parliamentarian noted the main goals and tasks of the state material reserve.
“The state reserve is designed to ensure the mobilization needs of the Donetsk People’s Republic, to provide priority work on the prevention and elimination of the consequences of natural and man-made emergencies, providing humanitarian assistance, providing regulatory impact on the market, and providing state support to various sectors of the economy, enterprises, institutions and organizations of the Donetsk People’s Republic In order to stabilize the economy during temporary disruptions in supply of the most important types of raw materials and fuel and energy resources, food in the event of disparities between supply and demand in the domestic market and participation in the implementation of interstate contracts,” Marina Zheynova said.
Further to the meeting, the deputies decided to include in the comparative table to the bill the comments and proposals considered.
