On September 23, in advance of the DPR’s Mechanical Engineers’ Day in Donetsk a ceremony, which was attended by the Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Denis Pushilin and Acting Minister of Industry and Trade of the DPR Alexey Granovsky, took place in Donetsk.
According to the Chairman of the DPR People’s Council, machine-building industry in the DPR has great future.
“I sincerely congratulate you on your professional holiday. We fully understand how difficult the situation is for mechanical engineers. I note that one of the main tasks of republican management was to preserve the businesses, or rather, human resources.
In former Ukraine, secondary vocational education has been neglected, while more and more managers and economists had been taught, which caused a serious shortage of personnel, and it was very difficult to find people of blue-collar jobs. We continue to move forward, and we have all the opportunities for the development of the industry, thanks to your work,” said Denis Pushilin emphasised.
In his opening remarks, Alexey Granovsky told about recovery dynamics of engineering companies in the DPR.
“If you look at the statistics, the engineering industry, which we prioritise in the Republic, involves more than 10 thousand people, and it’s 112 companies. Before the war, 215 enterprises operated, and for the moment half of enterprises has been recovered,” the Acting Minister of Industry and Trade of the DPR said.
