The issues of integration with Russia are now addressed more substantively. It was stated by the Chairman of the DPR People’s Council, the permanent plenipotentiary representative of the DPR in the Contact group at negotiations in Minsk Denis Pushilin in “Point of view” programme on the First Republic TV channel.
ʺNow we have more substantive challenges. It is impossible for the People’s Republics of Donbass, where more than four million people live, to be cut off from the world. Our performing artists should be touring and our athletes should participate in international competitions. It is possible in the Russian Federation.
It is important for us to improve the qualification of deputy corps, and we learn, exchange experiences with various socio-political figures in different regions of Russia. Our People’s Council has something to learn as well. Also, it is an important direction for recreation and rehabilitation of children, guided tours, attendance of New Year holidays, etc.
All this is coupled with the Minsk agreements. Even if a miracle happens and Ukraine begins to implement the Minsk agreements, then the special status includes such interaction with Russia.
The inhabitants of Donbass need to be aware of what is going on in the direction concerning the integration. There are a lot of chitchat in social networks and odious leaders’ remarks about ‘Donbass being betrayed’. But they forget to mention that they have been saying that since 2014. Therefore, it is important for ordinary citizens to know what is actually going on with a relationship with Russia,ʺ Denis Pushilin said.
