“School truce” is designed to reduce the intensity of shellings and to remove the threat of resumption of full-fledged combat operations, a complete ceasefire, though, is possible only after the disengagement of forces and facilities along the entire front line. This was told by the permanent plenipotentiary representative of the DPR to the Contact group, the Chairman of the People’s Council Denis Pushilin, the correspondent of the official website of the DPR informs.
“Of course, it’s needless to talk about the truce being observed, when we hear ruptures of shells literally every evening. By signing the agreement on the next armistice, we, unfortunately, did not expect that the fire would be completely stopped, as the units are too close to each other. But these agreements in any case contribute to reducing the intensity of shellings and removing the threat of the beginning of full-fledged military operations,” the DPR envoy explained.
