On July 21, a round table on introduction of a simplified border crossing for goods was held. At the meeting, the participants discussed the facilitation of customs control and declaration of goods that are imported by business entities into the DPR customs territory.
The meeting was attended by Head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko, Chairman of the DPR People`s Council Denis Pushilin, Deputy Director of the Customs Affairs Department of the DPR Ministry of Revenue and Duties Sergey Eryomenko, Deputy Minister of Revenue and Duties Alexander Mikhaylov, Chairman of the DPR Trade Union of Workers in Small and Medium-sized Businesses Roman Pozdnyakov and delegates from towns and districts of the Republic.
Head of the Donetsk People`s Republic Alexander Zakharchenko commented on the purpose of the meeting.
“I`ve received a lot of entrepreneurs` applications concerning tax legislation of the DPR, there are both proposals and criticism. Today, I want to know your opinion on these issues and speak of what measures the state should take for business to develop in the Republic”, the Head of the Republic appealed to all present.
For his part, Chairman of the DPR People`s Council Denis Pushilin noted the importance of improvement of the tax system in the Republic.
“We have two main areas of work. One of them is to support our entrepreneurs, who want to work and to do business, who create jobs and, last but not least, fill the state budget by paying taxes. The second area of work consists in creating the best possible conditions for regulation of the tax system. We should understand that citizens receive social benefits, wages and pensions from the state budget which is filled by means of paying taxes”, Denis Pushilin pointed out.
The Chairman of the People`s Council commented on the feasibility of the suggested concepts on improvement of the customs sphere of the Republic.
“Today we`ve managed to discuss the issues of customs regulations. Within the framework of the round table, the representative of the DPR Ministry of Revenue and Duties provided full explanations to the entrepreneurs on issues of concern to them, in particular on the simplified procedure of customs clearance of goods.
It should be noted that we are always open to dialogue, but only if claims and proposals are constructive and valid“, Denis Pushilin summed up.
