On June 1, the Donetsk National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after Anatoly Solovyanenko held the festive event “Talents Parade,” timed to coincide with the International Children’s Day. Denis Pushilin, the Chairman of the DPR People’s Council, took part in the awarding ceremony.
The Speaker of the Parliament thanked the children’s groups for the high results shown during the participation in the festive programs and concerts, as well as for the great contribution to the development of the patriotic movement.
“It’s nice to be on the same stage with such talented, wonderful and amazing children. Indeed, the International Children’s Day is a holiday when children receive well-deserved awards and honors.
For our young Republic, it is very important that the younger generation has all the opportunities to learn and develop their talents. Of course, we understand that our children were forced to grow up faster during the war. Nevertheless, we are optimistic about the future and believe that our guys are the best, which means they will succeed in all directions. And our duty is to contribute to this,” Denis Pushilin said.
The People’s Council Chairman noted the efforts and diligence of the laureates of the Republican contest “Believe in yourself”, and also awarded the children who distinguished themselves in creative competitions, scientific work and sports in 2016/17 academic year.
