Denis Pushilin visits team competition ‘Race of Heroes’ (photo report)

On June 24, at the extreme polygon “Avdotieno” in the Leninsky district of Donetsk, team competitions among the youth “The Race of Heroes” took place. The event was attended by Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Denis Pushilin, DPR Minister of Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism Mikhail Mishyn.

Welcoming the competition participants, Denis Pushilin noted that the leadership of the Republic is aimed at increasing the number of such events and providing comprehensive support to youth’s initiatives.

“I sincerely congratulate you on the occasion of the Youth Day. It is gratifying that more and more similar events are organized in the Republic, and the main thing is that more and more teams participate, more and more visitors and spectators come to visit the events.

I want to thank you for the conscious attitude to your life. I’m glad that you choose sport, a healthy lifestyle, and we on our part, on the part of the leadership of our state, support and will continue supporting your initiative and expanding the range of opportunities for realizing the potential of our youth,” the Speaker of the Parliament said.

In turn, the Minister of Youth Policy, Sports and Tourism expressed gratitude to the participants for their active life position.

“Emotions from today’s sports festival are indescribable, and I want to thank you for the perseverance with which you overcome all obstacles on your path. Every day in the Republic is a challenge, a challenge of endurance and strength of mind.

I am glad to see today so many young people with healthy body and spirit. I want to wish you to go for your goal, do not give up. I also want to thank our guests from the Russian Federation for their active support of our initiatives and active participation in the life of our state,” Mikhail Mishyn underlined.

In the framework of the Humanitarian Programme for the reunification of the Donbass people, 19 athletes took part in the race from the territory temporarily controlled by Ukraine.
