No coup d’état made a country stronger and more developed and did nothing to facilitate its progress. It was stated by the Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Denis Pushilin in the “Time Will Show” programme on the Russian First channel.
ʺDonbass observed the events in Kiev and continued to work during the Orange Revolution, and worked in 2013-2014. The paradox was that we were against Yanukovych because we experienced all the wonders of his power as snatching business away, etc. But we were against the coup d’état, and we are its opponents to this day.
History has shown that the Orange Revolution was devastating as well as the coup d’état of 2014, which turned to be disastrous for Ukraine. It has also created many complications for us. What is happening now in Kiev, – the third “Maidan” or some simulacrum, – time will tell. But we realize that the new coup will push Ukraine back even further.
If it takes place, it will affect us too. Poroshenko can be replaced by someone more radical and militant. This would mean deterioration in the situation, war, breakdown of the agreements reached,ʺ Denis Pushilin said.
