It is important for us that enterprises work, people keep jobs and get paid – Denis Pushilin

The Chairman of the DPR People’s Council, permanent plenipotentiary representative of the DPR to the Contact Group at negotiations in Minsk Denis Pushilin participated in the programme “Informally” on the TV channel “Oplot TV.”

As part of the programme Denis Pushilin commented on reaction of the Ukrainian side to the introduction of external management in a number of enterprises on the territory of the DPR, which were under the jurisdiction of Ukraine.

“I can say that our actions were a surprise for the Ukrainian side. I got the impression that they thought that after the announcement of the ultimatum we’ll somehow retreat from its implementation.

For us, the introduction of external management is a forced situation. If there were no blockade arranged by Ukrainian radicals, or enterprises paid taxes in the budget of the Republic, perhaps the situation would have developed differently. However, we have been waiting for a very long time, almost three years, especially since the whole geopolitical situation in which we find ourselves.

It should be noted that the campaign for the introduction of external management absolutely does not violate the property rights that the international community is very concerned about. At the moment, for us it is important that enterprises work, people keep their jobs and receive wages,” Denis Pushilin said.
