This humanitarian assistance programme aims at the reunification of the people of Donbass, the provision of social and humanitarian rights, the provision of medical and educational assistance, the provision of administrative and legal services, the preservation of spiritual and cultural values. It is important for us to support our citizens who have been held hostage by the situation and reside in the temporarily occupied by Ukraine territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
Because of the declared by the Ukrainian government ‘decommunization’, which is actually aimed at destroying the historical heritage of the Soviet Union, veterans of the Great Patriotic War are deprived of the legitimate right to be proud of their deeds, to wear their well-deserved and washed in their own blood decorations. They equate our heroic ancestors with the Nazi minions against whom they fought. They do their best to erase the cherished memory of our grandfathers and their heroic past. They rename cities and streets, they overlook the importance of events of the Great Patriotic War and the related holidays, thereby destroying everything important to our hearts. Not to mention the implementation of social guarantees. In addition to veterans, ordinary people suffer as well. Endless tariff escalation, deterioration of the quality of life of citizens, inadequate health care, degradation of education and endless lies that come from TVs – all of them are the people of Donbass, who reside in the temporarily occupied territories and forced to endure all that.
The humanitarian programme is designed to show people that we remember, know about our people and we are taking action to support them.
The Ukraine has not yet responded to the programme, despite the fact that the representatives of the Ukrainian party were acquainted with it at the last meeting in Minsk. Regardless of the opinion of Ukraine, the Donetsk People’s Republic will implement the humanitarian programme for the reunification of the Donbass people.
