One gets the impression that the Ukrainian side in the economic subgroup at negotiations in Minsk was forcibly brought and seated at the table. No one cares now about their ambitions or whims.
In my opinion, the new administration of the White House made it clear that now the Europeans have to deal with the problems of Kiev – it has played and will play a key role in the behaviour of Ukraine at the Minsk negotiations. The main support goes away rapidly, and now its echoes only slip in the form of short comments, but not tranches and financial guarantees.
However, the European Union is not ready to bear the burden in the face of Ukraine mired in corruption and crumbling from the mediocrity of politicians and oligarchs’ gluttony. Therefore it is easy to assume that Europe forced Ukraine to resume the dialogue in the economic subgroup, as within its work it would be possible solve some of the issues of a financial nature, with which the representatives of the Kiev authorities regularly harass the EU, arriving there.
It is worth adding that from now on the Ukrainian side is devoid of the old argument for further sabotage of the negotiation process. And as Europe went in for such a step, then, of course, it will need result, not verbiage from the mouth of Poroshenko and his charges.
