According to media reports, the Deputy Minister of Ukraine “on temporarily occupied territories and internally displaced people” George Tucka said that on August 31, 2016, at a meeting of the Government of Ukraine a new strategy for the reintegration of Donbass territories not controlled by the Kiev authorities can be presented.
What does this statement mean? Ukraine, in the framework of the Minsk agreements, has assumed certain obligations. Guarantees of the Minsk agreements performance are Germany and France. Accordingly, the way out of the conflict on the territory of Ukraine in Minsk format is indicated with sufficient clarity. It remains to register a roadmap and make concrete actions. That is what the Ukrainian side refuses to do under various pretexts. And now an official of the Kiev government says that there is some new strategy to reintegrate the territories of Donbass in Ukraine, which will be presented in a closed format. And it fits into the logic of the actions of representatives of the Kiev authorities to sabotage the Minsk agreements.
If Ukraine is to continuously implement the Minsk agreements, no new strategy is necessary. Most likely, the new strategy will be another delay in the implementation of the Minsk agreements and an attempt to substitute the Package of measures. Since the document is confidential, in the near future, we will unlikely find out its content. But the very fact of its existence speaks with the high probability of another attempt of representatives of Ukraine to avoid fulfilling their commitments within the framework of the Minsk process.
People who live in Donbass are with the simple perception of the world, they are disgusted by all hypocrisy and cynical lie. Here we clearly see that the part of Ukrainian troops does not stop firing, and in the Minsk negotiations the Ukrainian side all the time goes away from concrete actions on a peaceful settlement of the conflict. And the new strategy, which will be announced at the secret meeting of the Ukrainian government, is not likely to add anything constructive to the peace process in the Donbass.
