Press conference of Head of Executive Committee Public Movement “Donetsk Republic” Denis Pushilin takes place in Donetsk

On May 24, in Donetsk was held press conference of the Chairman of the People’s Council of the DPR, the Head of Executive Committee in Public Movement “Donetsk Republic” Denis Pushilin and Acting Minister of Social Policy of the DPR, secretary of Makeevskiy department in Public Movement Larisa Tolstykina.

As a correspondent of the DPR official website reports, during the press conference Denis Pushilin covered the activity of Public Movement “Donetsk Republic” for the current month, elaborated in details on the events they held, emphasized the success, achievements, noted a number of problematic issues.

“As of May 24, the members of Public Movement “Donetsk Republic” are more than 140 thousand people. A huge number of events is held by the members of Public Movement, over 900 events were planned in May. A lot of those events were on public eye. First of all, they are holidays which we organize and take part. So on May 1, the members of Public Movement took part in the procession-meeting dedicated to the Spring and Labor holiday. On May 8, on the Victory Day eve mourning ceremonies dedicated to the memory of the victims during the Great Patriotic War were held. On May 9, we celebrated big and serious date Victory Day. The activists of Public Movement differently helped to organize the celebration. One of the significant events was passage of “Immortal Regiment”, “Young Republic” youth branch of Public Movement “Donetsk Republic” was responsible for organizing it. On May 11, over 8 thousand activists took part in the procession in honor of the DPR second anniversary. The event in general was really spectacular and massive. And on May 12, they held a practical event –  the First international convention-forum “Strategy of future”, where the guests from South Ossetia, Abkhazia and the LPR were invited. There was signed the cooperation agreement following the meeting”, Denis Pushilin told.
