Representatives of DPR and LPR in Minsk negotiations accuse Ukraine of violating International Convention for Suppression of Terrorist Bombings

Following a meeting of the Contact group in Minsk, the permanent plenipotentiary representatives of DPR and LPR in the negotiations Denis Pushilin and Vladislav Deynego said that Ukraine had violated the International Convention for the Suppression of Terrorist Bombings.

ʺWe are compelled to note the total disregard of Ukraine for the norms of international law and, as a result, violations of the International Convention for the Suppression of Terrorist Bombings.

For a period of two and a half years, the Ukrainian special services have systematically carried out sabotage-terrorist acts at the facilities of the fuel and energy complex, communications and transport in the territory of the Republics. It is a series of sabotage of the energy and transport infrastructure of the LPR in 2015, the undermining of the railways in Lutuhino, the electricity pylon in the Khryashevatoe village, the telecommunication tower in Rovenki in the same year, the undermining of tanks with combustive and lubricating materials in 2016 in Makeevka and the transformer substation in Donetsk this year and many others.  The Ukraine has the sole purpose of destabilizing the socio-economic and social and political situation in the DPR and LPR and discrediting the authorities of the republics.

All the sabotage-terrorist acts carried out in our territory have been documented by the law enforcement authorities of the republics.

We appeal to the international community and human rights organizations to give the close attention to the violations of the International Convention for the Suppression of Terrorist Bombings by Ukraine,ʺ the joint statement says.
