At the peace talks in the capital of Belarus, the Contact group managed to agree on a ceasefire in connection with the Easter holidays and the breeding of forces and facilities in Stanitsa Luganskaya. This was told in the air of the “Theme” programme on the “Union” TV channel by the DPR envoy, the Chairman of the People’s Council Denis Pushilin.
“The recent meeting in Minsk ended up with quite positive results. Firstly, we managed to agree on a ceasefire regime on April 1, in connection with the Easter holidays, and secondly, on April 6, in Stanitsa Luganskaya, there is planned to disengage the forces and facilities in the third pilot section.
For quite a long period of time, Ukraine has been in every way hindering the disengagement of forces and facilities. This very process should be facilitated by the complete ceasefire a week beforehand, and Ukraine used it.
This is not the first time that we agree on the ceasefire, and, unfortunately, the trend shows that this is always preceded by an aggravation – the Ukrainian side is trying to expel all their shells, and sometimes we doubt whether such a ceasefire should be agreed upon, because he situation is not solved, but only aggravated.
The radically inclined component of the Ukrainian government – that criminal force that is ready to violate any principles – has set off a disappointing tendency since 2014: we really expect exacerbations during the Orthodox holidays, but we are ready for any outcome of the events, to any provocations on the part of Ukraine,” Denis Pusilin underlined.
