Alexander Kurenkov: Attracting third-party peacekeeping missions to DPR territory is pointless
The Donetsk People’s Republic independently ensures its own security, and also protects internal order and its borders. Therefore, we consider the involvement of third-party peacekeeping missions on our territory not only pointless, but can also treat them as a military intervention. This was stated in a commentary to the official DPR website by the DPR People’s Council MP, Alexander Kurenkov.
“First things first, I must say that we really appreciate the participation of the Belarusian president in the peace process and are grateful to him for the platform for negotiations with the Ukrainian party provided in Minsk. It was in the capital of Belarus that the signing of such an important document for Donbass as the Minsk agreements took place.
Now the main task of the parties to this international treaty is to follow its clauses. It has nothing stated about any peacekeeping missions in it. Moreover, clause 10 expressly states that all foreign armed groups must be withdrawn,” the parliamentarian said.
