Andrey Bayevsky: Shooting at “Gorlovka – Mayorsk” border crossing station by Ukrainian forces is another purposeful violation of Minsk agreements
Deputy Andrey Bayevsky commented on the use of light arms by Ukraine near the “Gorlovka – Mayorsk” border crossing station, which resulted in wounding one peaceful citizen, in an interview with the correspondent of the Donetsk People’s Republic’s official website.
ʺShooting at the “Gorlovka – Mayorsk” border crossing station by Ukrainian forces is another purposeful violation of the Minsk agreements. Meanwhile, peaceful people suffer once again, people who do not possess weapons and absolutely not involved in hostilities.
According to information from the representative of the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination, it became known that one person, who was in a line to pass border control form the DPR’s side, had been wounded due to the use of light arms by the Ukrainian forces near the “Mayorsk” border checkpoint earlier this morning. The victim received help on the spot and is now safe.
This incident was preceded by another fact of violation of human rights by Ukraine. On February 14, 60 civilians, who were on their way from the DPR to the territory controlled by Ukraine, were left in a neutral zone after the closure of the “Gorlovka – Mayorsk” border crossing station. The representatives of the Ukrainian State Border Service categorically refused to let them through, thereby endangering the lives of civilians,ʺ the deputy said.
