#Commentary of Ekaterina Martyanova on recognition of certain representatives of Ukrainian authorities as war criminals

In Lugansk, the People’s Tribunal pronounced a guilty verdict against the representatives of the Kiev authorities for war crimes. Pyotr Poroshenko, Alexander Turchinov, Andrey Parubiy, Stepan Poltorak, Victor Muzhenko, Vladimir Groisman, Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Arsen Avakov were sentenced to life imprisonment for all crimes with confiscation of all personal property.

The entire Donbass people – from the centre to the outskirts – suffered from the policy of the Ukrainian ruling elite that came to power through a coup d’état. The facts confirming the crime of the Ukrainian authorities are the apartment houses, infrastructure facilities of cities and districts, power lines, heating and communication systems, schools, hospitals and kindergartens destroyed by the AFU during bombardment. A particularly complex humanitarian situation has developed in the areas located in close proximity to the line of contact. Unfortunately, in the front-line zone at the moment it is not possible to launch generic recovery processes, as Ukraine continues shelling the territory of the Republic.

Representatives of the Public Headquarters in the front-line regions visited more than 70 localities in the front-line territory and repeatedly witnessed the consequences of Kiev’s criminal policy. Just come to think about it: the People’s Tribunal has passed a verdict on 24 articles of charges. Thousands of perished people, destroyed houses, children deprived of parental warmth, blockades, constant use of armed forces against civilians are all the work of the Ukrainian authorities.

It should be noted that the crime cases were examined on the basis of Ukrainian legislation, taking into account the norms of international law. For the deeds committed, the verdict must be uncompromising to the government of Ukraine and all the people involved in the genocide of the Donbass, which has no other name but genocide.
