#Commentary of Elena Melnik on Ukraine’s plans to realize power takeover of Donbass by hands of UN peacekeepers
Deputy Chairman of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc, presidential representative in the parliament Irina Lutsenko stated that Ukraine would insist that the “blue helmets” have the opportunity to use weapons not only for self-defense. And yes, of course, throughout the territory of the DPR and the LPR.
Apparently, the Ukrainian president was so carried away by the terror of the population of the former Ukraine and his enrichment that he decided to use the UN contingent in his manic adventures. According to Irina Lutsenko, the peacekeepers will be obliged to disarm and withdraw “foreign troops”, namely Russian ones. By the way, the DPR Armed Forces, according to the leadership of Ukraine, are “illegal armed formations”, which, it turns out, must also be disarmed or liquidated by peacekeepers.
It’s interesting why Ukraine, explaining its desire to deploy peacekeepers on the border between the Republics and Russia by the fact that the Russian Federation is an “aggressor”, does not consider the option of deploying the UN contingent, say, in the Kharkov region near the Belgorod border? There is quite enough foreign instructors. It’s time to stop repeating arguments in the form of phrases that there is no armed conflict, since there are no military clashes on our border with Russia and these places are not being shelled.
The Poroshenko bloody regime failed to occupy the Donbass with the army at his disposal, and now the Ukrainian oligarch wants on the plate a coveted trophy (which is exactly how he looks at the Donbass) to be brought him. Open arrogance and boorish behaviour have always been the hallmarks of the Ukrainian gang that came to power as a result of an armed coup d’etat with the support of the West. And the inadequacy of the conducted policy is quite understandable: Poroshenko and Co. once again pin their hopes on the support of their supervisors, only now Kiev does not ask for funds, but demands.
