#Commentary of Oleg Onopko on institutional crisis of power in Ukraine

Ignoring the obvious reality, living in one’s own fantasy world are distinctive signs of the Ukrainian government that perseveres regardless of who formally heads the state, People’s Council MP Oleg Onopko stated in a comment for the DPR official website.

“Zelensky appointed the new head of the SBU Main Directorate in Crimea, Eugeny Netuzhilov. He dismissed the previous one back in June, and until that time, part of the Ukrainian population, who voted for Zelensky as an alternative to Poroshenko, could still have hopes that the new president would at least show his sanity and change the course of the state.

But, alas, we can once again witness the amazing stability of the Ukrainian government, ensuring its succession. But the thing is, only everything negative is inherited and transmitted, and the current president of Ukraine shows perseverance exclusively in following the strangest and bizarre undertakings of the previous head of the Ukrainian state.

Let me remind you that the Ukrainian prosecutor’s office of Crimea still exists in Ukraine, as well as the main department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the peninsula. The Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in Crimea was recreated in 2016 by Poroshenko, at that, it is based in Kherson.

Of course, this is another sign of the institutional crisis of power in Ukraine, an indicator of its president’s dependence, who was allowed to play some appointments in a fantasy world, while the real masters of the country are engaged in real affairs,” Oleg Onopko said.
