#Commentary of Sergey Zavdoveyev on planned allocation of Mariupol land to ‘ATO veterans’
The Kiev government, which came to power as a result of the coup d’état, back in 2014 ‘generously’ announced the planned allocation of land to the ‘ATO soldiers’ in the Donbass. However, if four years ago these were unsubstantiated words, today this issue is discussed at an official level. It seems that many ‘heroes’ of the fratricidal war have already managed to mark their future allotments on the Google map.
According to information posted on the Mariupol city website, city authorities are going to work out a detailed plan for the distribution of land shares. At that, Alexander Kaverin, the head of the main department of town planning and architecture of the Mariupol City Council, noted that the plan making will take about four months.
Only Ukrainian officials could come up with such a cynical plan. Of course, this is not their first encroach on someone else’s property and act of stealing from people. Not only that their so-called ‘heroes’ deprived thousands of Donbass residents of lives, most of which were children and the elderly, who, apparently, represented an excessive danger for the armed battalions, they also decided to give the killers of the people of the Donbass its land…
Alas, for those Ukrainian politicians who have lost the remnants of conscience and common sense, the land has become a bargaining chip, much like the lives of their own people. Such steps by the Kiev authorities show that they are ready for any, even unconstitutional, steps, to any sacrifices, if only the fratricidal war continues.
