#Commentary of Valery Skorokhodov on how Ukrainian information war started to ‘devour its children’
Three deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, including Yulia Timoshenko, were included in the section “Purgatory” of the base of the Mitorvorets (Peacemaker) centre. While the Ukrainian border guards and law enforcement agencies are showing slowness, the ‘beloved’ informational ‘napalm’ immediately began to use weapons against its own people.
In the description of the reasons for getting into Purgatory, it is pointed out that the non-factional deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, Dmitry Dobrodomov, as well as Yulia Timoshenko and her ally Sergey Vlasenko illegally crossed the state border of Ukraine, attacked border guards during the performance of their official duties, participated in the preparation of an illegal crossing of the state the border of Ukraine by a person without Ukrainian citizenship. With respect to Yulia Timoshenko, the accusation of “manipulating socially significant information” is added to the above.
Active supporters of defending the rights and freedoms of the Donbass are no strangers to the fact that their names are included in the database of this Ukrainian site. Moreover, many of us consider it an honour to get into the base of Mitorvorets or the Western sanction list.
The weakness of the current Ukrainian authorities is confirmed by the fact that there is such a resource, which violates both human rights and international law in general. No international influence managed to use at least some levers in Ukraine that could close an odious resource even after it housed the data of the journalists of the world’s leading media, who visited the Donbass to highlight the events taking place on our land.
If earlier it was honorable for our defenders to be on the list of Mirotvorets, then neighbourhood with such ‘deputies’ is, to put it mildly, alarming. And if this is the case, then all the members of the Ukrainian pro-government criminal group can enter there. Maybe in this case, someone from the active Ukrainian politicians who entered this notorious resource and realized that the information weapon is now being turned against them, will finally make sure that its creators are punished?
