#Commentary of Vladimir Bidyovka on initiative to create DPR Civic Chamber
The creation of the Civic Chamber of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the main purpose of which will be to represent the interests of our citizens, is a natural consequence of the fact that the Republic is entering a new level of state-building.
Requests from representatives of civilian institutions, such as trade unions, public associations and movements, scientific communities, in my opinion, should have not only informational support, but also, as a result, proposals and recommendations to the authorities drawn up in accordance with the legislation.
The People’s Council already has a positive experience in organizing the interaction of engaged citizens with representatives of the legislative and executive branches of the government. Such a platform is the “People’s Club”, where, during discussions, representatives of the scientific community present their projects, as well as their vision of the Republic’s development as a whole. Of course, such work must be implemented in practice.
Besides, within the framework of integration processes with the Russian Federation, members of the DPR Civic Chamber will be able to actively participate in the work of international organizations and interact with partners on loads of issues in accordance with the powers assigned to them at the legislative level.
At the request of the DPR Head, Denis Pushilin, the DPR Parliament will prepare the necessary legislative framework for the implementation of such a positive initiative to establish the Civic Chamber of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
