Vladimir Bidyovka holds open history lesson on Liberation Day of Donbass

On September 6, as part of the celebration of the 76th anniversary of the liberation of Donbass from Nazi invaders, the Chairman of the DPR People’s Council, Vladimir Bidyovka, held an open history lesson for pupils of a specialized school – the lyceum of information technology of the city of Yenakiyevo.

In an interview for the press, the Speaker of Parliament noted the importance of holding such lessons, and also thanked the lyceum authorities for an active civic stance.

“I was pleasantly surprised by the level of training of schoolchildren with whom I talked today in the framework of the “Lesson of Memory.” Despite the fact that they are studying at the Lyceum of Information Technology, children not only independently create a museum, which displays the history of the Great Patriotic War and our modern history, but also know all historical processes very well. Not only do they know the dates, but also understand what happened and how. This is pleasing, and I would like it to be so everywhere in our Republic.

Each citizen of the Donetsk People’s Republic knows how important patriotic and historical education is. If it weren’t for the distortion of history in the ’90s and two ’00s, then perhaps there would have been no current war, since there would have been no manifestations of fascism and other revanchist sentiments in Ukraine,” Vladimir Bidyovka said.

Also, during the official visit, the Chairman of the People’s Council congratulated the veterans of the Great Patriotic War on the upcoming holiday and handed the Union of Veterans a letter of gratitude from the People’s Council.
