On November 8, the Deputy Chairman of the DPR People’s Council
Olga Makeyeva said at the press conference in Lugansk that legislative systems, which are being developed now in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, must be synchronized.
According to the vice-speaker of the DPR parliament, it has been two years since the election of the heads of the states and deputies of the supreme legislative bodies, Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republic managed to organize the work of government systems at the utmost quality.
ʺThe world has never seen such rapid progress made by two Republics during the war and under the blockade. In fact, we have built our own states, where all branches of government function. Republican banks have been created, people receive their pensions and salaries, educational and cultural institutions work, we have our own armies and legislative authorities, judicial branch function,ʺ Olga Makeyeva said.
The Deputy Chairman of the DPR People’s Council said that the DPR and LPR parliaments have established the fruitful cooperation, which will grow stronger over time.
ʺI believe that the cooperation between the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics grows every day and not only between parliaments.
As for the work of parliaments, of course, legislative systems, which are being developed in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, must be synchronized. The cooperation is carries out both at the deputy level and at the level of committees and parliamentary delegations,ʺ the deputy said.
During the press conference, Olga Makeyeva emphasized that the people of the DPR and LPR have a common past, present and future.
ʺWe are children of the same land, we have a common history, problems and challenges. We remember an old saying: “united we stand, divided we fall”. We are stronger standing together than alone. By combining our physical efforts and pooling our industrial, economic and intellectual resources we will be twice stronger.
We have the greatest future ahead, considerable challenges and problems. But I do know that we can handle everything,ʺ the parliamentarian summed up.
