Delegation from DPR meets with Chairman of Central Electoral Commission in Republic of Abkhazia
On August 24, a delegation from the People’s Council met with the Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission in the Republic of Abkhazia Tamaz Gogia. The meeting was held in the framework of a working trip of representatives of the Donetsk People’s Republic as international observers in the presidential elections of the Republic of Abkhazia.
Natalia Pshenichnaya commented on the results of the third day of stay in Abkhazia to the press service of the People’s Council.
ʺOur delegation has been successfully accredited in the CEC. During our conversation with Tamaz Gogia, we discussed a number of issues related to the upcoming elections. We talked to representatives from other countries – about 50 of them arrived, including representatives from Russia, the Lugansk People’s Republic, the Moldovan Transdniestrian Republic, South Ossetia and the People’s Republic of China.
We also were able to visit several electoral districts and see how preparations for the upcoming expression of will by citizens of Abkhazia were going. I believe the elections will be conducted smoothly and under normal conditions,ʺ the deputy said.
