On June 15, participants of the working meeting on the development of interparliamentary cooperation between the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics visited the Lenin Komsomol Park of Culture and Recreation and laid flowers at the monument to the perished citizens of the Donetsk People’s Republic.

In his commentary to the journalists, Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Denis Pushilin said that every effort should be made to stop the war in the Donbass and prevent any other.

“Any people who do not honour history, do not pay tribute to their heroes, is doomed to extinction. I think that all those who stayed in the Donbas can be considered heroes. As for the people who died as a result of the aggression by the Kiev authorities, we are obliged not only to remember them, but also to convey this information to our descendants. The task before us is not only to do everything possible to win, but also to create conditions under which war on our land will not happen again,” Denis Pushilin said.

In turn, Chairman of the LPR People’s Council Denis Miroshnichenko stressed the importance of perpetuating the memory of the Donbass inhabitants lost as the result of Ukrainian aggression.

“Today I have already spoken and I will repeat once again that apart from the common history, the Donbass Republics were united by common grief. It does not matter, whether the inhabitants of the LPR or the DPR died, because they are all our people. It is one people who must remember what price was paid for the next generations to live,” Denis Miroshnichenko said.

We recall, the delegation of the Lugansk People’s Republic arrived in the Donetsk People’s Republic to participate in a workshop on the development of interparliamentary cooperation. The delegation includes Chairman of the LPR People’s Council Denis Miroshnichenko, deputies of the LPR People’s Council and members of the People’s Council’s administrative office.

Earlier, on May 12, during the trip to Lugansk of the official delegation of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Chairmen of the DPR and LPR People’s Councils discussed the development of interparliamentary cooperation. Then Denis Pushilin informed about the plans of the highest legislative bodies representatives of the franernal Republics to hold a joint meeting.
