Denis Pushilin call Minsk agreements political siege of Kiev

The permanent plenipotentiary representative of the DPR in the Contact group’s negotiations in Minsk, the Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Denis Pushilin called the Minsk agreements a political siege of Kiev in the lead-up of its third anniversary.

ʺNo matter how sad this process looks, I am sure that all our efforts are made for good reason. And not just because, we still manage to reach some agreements. The main thing is that the Minsk agreements are a political siege of Ukraine and its ‘partners’. A siege is always about time and patience,ʺ RIA “Novosti” cited the words of the plenipotentiary representative of the DPR referring to his post in one of the social network websites.

In his assessment, due to the Minsk agreements ʺthe DPR and LPR – unrecognized, blockaded, defending – has been on the world’s political agenda for three yearsʺ. ʺAnd they will be, until there are conditions for peace, which is acceptable to our suffering people, in Donbass,ʺ he said.

The practical outcome of the negotiations on February 11-12, 2015, in Minsk was two documents. The first is the Package of Measures aimed at the implementation of the Minsk agreements, which was agreed by the Contact Group for the settlement of the situation in Donbass. The second document is the declaration in support of the Package of Measures on the implementation of the Minsk agreements, adopted by the leaders of the “Normandy Four” (Russia, France, Germany and Ukraine).
