Denis Pushilin: Certain Ukrainian negotiators are not concerned by fate of their citizens

Some participants of a negotiation process in Minsk from the Ukrainian side intentionally conduct destructive activities. This was stated by the Chairman of the DPR People’s Council, the Permanent Plenipotentiary Representative of the DPR in the Contact Group’s negotiations in Minsk Denis Pushilin in live interview with radio station “Father’s Radio” on August 2.

The Plenipotentiary Representative of the DPR expressed his opinion that the situation would not improve by changing the Ukrainian negotiators.

ʺI do not think that the change of the representatives of Ukraine in the negotiation process will contribute to the implementation of the Minsk agreements. They (the representatives of Ukraine) are performing tasks “from above”, they have certain instructions and adhere to them with the exception of some personal adjustments, which are made, for instance, by individual representatives in a humanitarian subgroup. They think neither about our men, who are kept in detention, nor about their own ones, which is more amusing,ʺ Denis Pushilin said.

The Parliamentary Speaker also described the intentions of the Republican authorities to regulate the activities of non-profit organizations.

ʺWe have non-profit organization, which are extremely interested to work on our territory and influence the minds of our citizens. This work has been organized for decades.

We introduced mechanisms of accreditation of such organizations and organized inspections of their activities by our special services. Currently, we are planning to enshrine it in law. I believe we can adopt a draft law this fall,ʺ Denis Pushilin said.
