Denis Pushilin congratulates trade union workers on their professional holiday

On February 21, in Donetsk, a solemn event timed to the Day of the Trade Union Worker and the third anniversary of the creation of the DPR Federation of Trade Unions was held.

The event was attended by Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Denis Pushilin, head of the central executive committee of the public movement “Donetsk Republic” Natalia Volkova, representatives of three regional trade unions from the Russian Federation, as well as activists of the trade union movement who came from the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic, temporarily controlled by Ukraine.

The Speaker of Parliament congratulated those present on the holiday and noted that the trade union movement in the Republic is actively developing, despite the difficult political situation, martial law and economic blockade.

“The DPR Federation of Trade Unions is already three years. Analysing the events that have occurred during this time, we will see how many problems have been solved and how much we have to solve. I remember the conditions under which the trade union movement was created, how much effort was exerted by the leadership and activists on the ground for this.

I think that today everyone understands how ambiguous the conditions in which we live are. The war and the economic blockade continue, there are a huge number of issues that must be approached strategically. Therefore, I am glad that we have a trade union movement and are optimistic about the future.

It is worth noting that we have already established close cooperation and started the integration process with the regions of the Russian Federation. Today the event is attended by delegations from Bryansk, Astrakhan, Kursk regions. These are our friends and colleagues, and I am sure that we can count on each other,” Denis Pushilin stressed.
