Denis Pushilin doubts Ukraine’s ability to provide proper conditions for work of Russian military in JCCC
The Permanent Plenipotentiary Representative of the Donetsk People’s Republic at the talks of the Contact Group in Minsk Denis Pushilin in the programme “60 minutes” on the channel “Russia 1” called the work of the Ukrainian representatives in the JCCC in the absence of Russian servicemen ineffective.
“The work of only Ukrainian representatives in the JCCC is one-sided, and the information recorded by them is unreliable. We all perfectly saw what they record, how they do it, and even when interacting with the OSCE SMM, we do not see the effectiveness of such work.
In Minsk, options for the return of Russian representatives to the JCCC were discussed. However, the conditions that the Russian military forces are forced to put forward for a politically unstable Ukraine will be difficult to fulfill,” the DPR plenipotentiary said.
Denis Pushilin also expressed hope that the signed agreement on the ceasefire would reduce the escalation on the contact line.
“The armistices, which happened before – the “bread truce”, the “school truce” – can work to reduce escalation. But there has never been any success to achieve a complete ceasefire for some tangible period of time. It, probably, can be achieved only after the disengagement of forces and facilities along the entire contact line,” said the Speaker of the DPR Parliament.
