Denis Pushilin participates in celebrations on occasion of Builder’s Day
On August 9, a festive event dedicated to Builder’s Day took place in the Centre of Slavic Culture in Donetsk.
The Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Denis Pushilin, Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities Sergey Naumets, Minister of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief Alexey Kostrubitsky, Acting Minister of Information Igor Antipov, Acting Minister of Culture Mikhail Zheltyakov, Minister of Industry and Trade Alexey Granovsky and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Natalia Mikhaylova attended the event in order to congratulate construction workers.
Denis Pushilin underlined in his congratulatory speech that construction industry was one of the key areas in the state’s economy.
ʺConstruction has never been a more important and necessary direction for the Republic. Unfortunately, the war is not over yet and we will have to make things right and rebuild everything that has been destroyed. I am sure that much has been achieved so far, but much more needs to be done. I also hope that we will be able to leave some epochal structures to our future generations that would be attributed to our time.
On my own account, I would like to wish you health, strength and faith in our young Republic. The Russian Centre, for its part, will organise a concert with the participation of the Russian performers, who will congratulate the citizens of the Republic on Builder’s Day, in the Central Scherbakov Park of Culture and Leisure next Sunday,ʺ the parliamentary speaker said.
Sergey Naumets thanked construction workers for the reconstruction of infrastructure and housing destroyed by hostilities.
ʺDear builders! Our peaceful profession is one of the most honorable, noble and important in the world. Like nobody else, I know in what difficult conditions you have to work, because war continues in our homeland. The fact that you have not stopped working and rebuilding houses, schools and hospitals at a time when shells detonate around you, gives hope to our citizens that peace will come very soon.
We have already managed to rebuild a lot over these years. But, unfortunately, it is not enough. The war has brought a lot of grief and destruction, and so we have a huge front of work ahead. I have no doubt that we will completely rebuild the country and it will become one of the most beautiful and attractive places to live in. I thank you for your work and wish you health, happiness, joy, good and, most importantly, long-awaited peace,ʺ a minister said.
Alexey Kostrubitsky joined in the congratulations.
ʺWe are colleagues, because you are rescuers as we are, you are the first to come to the rescue. We are rebuilding the destroyed housing together. Thank you for the interaction that exists between our agencies. I wish you to have as many light and peaceful days as possible in your life,ʺ the Head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations wished.
