The Chairman of the DPR People’s Council, the Head of the Russian Centre Denis Pushilin commented on the initial outcome of the Russian Centre’s work, an objective of which is to propel integration processes to new heights and which was set by the Head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko, in an interview with the correspondent of the official website of the DPR.
ʺThe Head of the Republic Alexander Zakharchenko entrusted us with a task: to propel integration with the regions of the Russian Federation to new heights. Performing this task, we have created the Russian Centre, which can be considered as some kind of brand well-known in many Russian regions. Also, a number of people that participated in the Integration Programme can be regarded as the first direct result of the Centre’s work. There are cultural activists of the Republic, trade union officials and sportsmen among them.
Besides that, preparations for an important event, which will take place next month, are under way. This is rather large-scale conference entitled “Cultural space of the people of Russia and Donbass”,ʺ Denis Pushilin said.
Also, the Chairman of the People’s Council pointed out the importance of such form of the Russian Centre’s work as the organization of concerts of Russian pop stars.
ʺConcerts, which we manage to organize, play a significant role in providing psychological support to our citizen. People need simple and understandable attributes of a peaceful life,ʺ Denis Pushilin underlined.
Denis Pushilin also told about where the name “Russian Centre” came from and impressions of the citizen of the DPR from trips to Russia in the interview.
ʺWe were thinking a lot about the name of this project. After all, it should give a clear vision on the purpose of our activity. The word “Centre” appeared, because this project is connected with all integration processes.
It should be noted that we did not get adequate information about the regions of the Russian Federation, that is why our citizens in Russia feel like they do not know much about it,ʺ the Head of the Russian Centre summed up.
