Denis Pushilin takes part in expanded meeting of Сivil Оrganization’s Presidium of “Russian Community of Crimea”
On July, 8 an enlarged meeting of public organization’s presidium of “Russian Community of the Crimea” has taken place in the Republic of Crimea. The Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Denis Pushilin, the Vice-speaker of the Crimean parliament, the representative of the public movement “Donetsk Republic” in the Crimea Andrey Kozenko, the member of the Federation Council of Federal Assembly of Russia from legislature of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Tsekov have taken part in action.
Speaking at the enlarged presidium meeting of “Russian Community of the Crimea” Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Dennis Pushilin told about the course of the Minsk process.
“The decision on the termination of the military conflict on our territory is gradually progressing. Full-scale military operations were discontinued after the signing of the Package of measures for implementation of the Minsk Agreements d/d 12 February 2015.
Ukraine is trying to impose views that are alien to us, to purge those who are disagree with their policy – in fact, they want to carry out genocide in territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk Republics. Also they signed these agreements out of military defeat fear, most likely having in mind a secret option ‘sign, but do not perform’. Ukraine is tightening time in every possible way and escaping from the undertaken obligations,” the Speaker of the DPR parliament emphasized.
Also Denis Pushilin noted that, despite the best efforts of Ukraine to sabotage the Minsk process, the DPR and LPR position remains steadfast – there is no alternative to the Minsk agreements and there cannot be any.
“The Ukrainian side has already understood that not only the Crimea, but also Donbass is lost for them forever. In 2014 the Kiev authorities were given carte blanche from Europe and the USA, they turned a blind eye to the genocide which was happening with us. But, in spite of the fact that the aircraft, heavy artillery and other types of weapon were used against us, we defended the main boundaries, and Ukraine had no blitzkrieg.
For us the Minsk Agreements created the international information platform on which we can be heard. Our position at the Minsk negotiations is absolutely transparent, open, clear to everybody and therefore stands to win,” Denis Pushilin declared.
According to the Vice-speaker of the Crimean parliament Andrei Kozenko, residents of the DPR, LPR and the Republic of Crimea are a single nation, whereby one of the dominant problems of the Crimean government is to support and help the young states.
“It is very important for us that citizens of the Republics would not feel abandoned, as if all of them have been turned away or forgotten. So one of the major tasks for today is to prove to the citizens of the Republics that everything will be fine, that there will be no borders between us, that citizens of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics are under protection of our great Homeland. We are one people,” Andrey Kozenko noted.
When asked about the humanitarian situation in the Republic, Denis Pushilin explained about the development of the Donetsk People’s Republic, and the potential for positive developments.
“The critical peak when white KAMAZ were the only source of survival is passed through. We were not going and we are not going to be the state-dependent. With the efforts of the Republic pensions are paid, as well as social benefits and salaries when Ukraine has deprived our citizens of deserved payments. Certainly, the level of salaries leaves much to be desired so far, and the level put by the Head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko in the amount of five-percent increase in salaries per quarter is kept. We have all the opportunities for realization of the Republic’s capacity – we have hardworking people, fertile soil and developed industrial complex,” the Chairman of the DPR People’s Council noted.
When asked about the situation with the armed forces of the DPR, Dennis Pushilin stressed that the DPR army has come to the one-man management and now it is not the individual disparate units, but a full, regular army that protects our borders in the framework of the current legislation.
