Denis Pushilin’s statement in connection with massive shelling of DPR territory by AFU
Despite the support of the armistice and the implementation of the Minsk agreements expressed by Ukraine, Ukraine continues violating the first and main point of the accords – the “silence regime”.
Yesterday’s bombardment of Yasinovataya was a real blow for the Republic. Private and apartment buildings at 16 addresses were demolished, a gas pipeline and a heating main sustained damage, one civilian was killed, and three more were wounded. Yasinovataya has not experienced this massive bombardment since 2014.
In addition, the towns of Dolomitnoye and the Kuibyshevsky district of Donetsk were subjected to shelling by the AFU. It is simply impossible to consider such violations other than a serious provocation designed to escalate the conflict.
At the same time, the Armed Forces of the Donetsk People’s Republic continue to adhere to the ceasefire regime, observing all the agreements reached earlier.
We demand that the OSCE SMM thoroughly and transparently investigate the violations committed and punish the perpetrators of the deaths and injuries of civilians in the Donbass.
Denis Pushilin, Chairman of the People’s Council of the DPR,
Permanent Representative of the DPR to the negotiations of the Contact Group in Minsk
