Disengagement of forces and facilities will significantly reduce confrontation on contact line – Denis Pushilin
Pyotr Poroshenko’s interpretations often do not correspond to what was going on at the talks, the representative of the DPR to the Contact Group for the settlement of the situation in the Donbass, the Speaker of the DPR People’s Council Denis Pushilin noted in the commentary to the newspaper Vzglyad.
According to the parliamentarian, conclusions about the benefits of negotiations between the leaders of the “Normandy Four” will probably be made at the next meeting in Minsk.
“If the parties only limit themselves to the statements we heard yesterday, then the result will be bad. Statements by the parties are often very seriously at variance with particular actions,” the DPR envoy noted.
Besides, Denis Pushilin added that the development of the negotiation process could be judged by whether the implementation of the “Steinmeier’s formula” has moved from the dead end, and this should be decided within the political subgroup of the Contact group.
“The most important is the disengagement of forces and facilities. This will significantly reduce the confrontation on the contact line, and, first of all, in the area of Stanitsa Luganskaya, which is the third “pilot site””, Denis Pushilin stressed.
