DPR and LPR delegations participate in rally dedicated to Day of Liberation of Debaltsevo City

On February 19, a rally timed to the Day of Liberation of the Debaltsevo City was held. The event was attended by Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin, Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Vladimir Bidyovka, Chairman of the LPR People’s Council Denis Miroshnichenko, and deputies of the DPR People’s Council.

In his address to the rally participants, the DPR Head, Denis Pushilin, noted that the joint victory of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics will forever remain a heroic page in the history of the Donbass.

“Dear fellow countrymen! Dear guests! On the occasion of the fourth anniversary of its liberation from Ukrainian punishers, I am pleased to greet you in Debaltsevo – the city of military glory.

In 2015, Debaltsevo became a symbol of courage, and it was then that the young Republics showed that they were ready to fight for the future, for freedom, for the Victory!

Back then the desire to win and gain freedom was enormous. Back then ordinary drivers, teachers, railway workers became professional military men.

Let’s bow our heads before the greatest feat of our people. Let’s offer a minute of silence the memory of all those who perished in this horrendous war,” the DPR Head addressed the rally participants.

In turn, Vladimir Bidyovka expressed gratitude to the military and civilian population of the city for their fortitude and faith in victory.

“The victory in the Chernukhino-Debaltsevo operation is a historical event that put new accents in our joint struggle against fascism. It was the first time when the soldiers of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics conducted such a large operation together, shoulder to shoulder. Not sparing lives and health, the military fought for the better life of our states.

We have once again confirmed that the Donbass can fight and win. I am grateful to all the soldiers and civilians who have made their own contribution to this victory. The memory of those who have not returned from the battlefield or died from Ukrainian shelling will live in our hearts. Eternal memory to them,” the Parliament Speaker said.
