DPR’s representatives sum up results of official delegation’s visit in Simferopol during “Crimea” radio broadcast
The Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin and Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Vladimir Bidyovka together with colleagues from the LPR participated in a live radio broadcast of “Crimea” radio station, the subject of which was summing up the results of the official delegation’s visit of the DPR and LPR to Simferopol, as well as discussion on plans of future inter-parliamentary cooperation.
According to Denis Pushilin, the integration of Donbass with Russia is a priority direction of the Donetsk People’s Republic’s state policy, and the signing of a document on inter-parliamentary cooperation opens a new stage in the development of relations between the people of the Republics and subjects of the Russian Federation.
ʺToday, there was another landmark event for the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics – the signing of inter-parliamentary agreements, the first of its kind between the Republics of Donbass and subjects of the Russian Federation.
Why do we need it for? First of all, it is interaction in legislative activity, interaction of parliamentary profile committees. These are cultural and historical ties. This is practical component with regard to establishing interaction between the Republics and Crimea.
The integration of Donbass with the Russian Federation is fundamental for us and such inter-parliamentarian ties will be more than reasonable,ʺ the Head of the DPR underlined.
He added that twinning agreements between Makeyevka and Kerch, Lugansk and Yalta.
ʺThese agreements are not the first ones of their kind. This is an ongoing chain. Crimea is ahead of the curve here with the active participation of Andrei Kozenko, who heads the Integration Committee “Russia – Donbass” and is very active: he increasingly initiates similar agreements, which are additional opportunities that open between municipalities,ʺ Denis Pushilin noted.
Regarding the question of a linkman about what these agreements will give ordinary citizens except a political component, the Head of the DPR replied that they would allow involving more inhabitants of twin cities in joint programmes that suited the interests of ordinary people.
ʺIt is encouraging, it is moral support. There is an exchange of collectives, interaction of artistic associations – delegates arrive from different cities. Interaction at the level of trade union organizations is developed. Thus, there is a whole set of components that make twin cities closer,ʺ Denis Pushilin said.
Answering the question about the sequence in the process of legitimization of the Republics of Donbass, the Speaker of the DPR’s Parliament, in turn, noted that the recognition of the documents issued in the DPR by the Russian Federation significantly improved the interaction of the residents of the DPR with the Russian authorities and agencies during visits to Russia.
ʺIt is not an issue to cross the border with Russia by having a DPR passport. Our citizens can book airline and railway tickets using a DPR passport via Internet. Of course, it is not a Russian passport, but Vladimir Putin’s step made toward the recognition of our documents allowed not only to overcome one of the blockade imposed by Ukraine, but also strengthened our citizens’ confidence in the support of Russia,ʺ Vladimir Bidyovka said.
