Citizens of the Donetsk People’s Republic! Dear fellow countrymen! New Year’s Day is the kindest and brightest holiday. The holiday we look forward to with hope, excitement and trepidation.  

There is hardly an example in US history, when leaving President would hand over the administration with such a noise. Normally, the change of power in the White House was held quietly and steadily. But Barack Obama's departure makes a new record in the history. 

On December 30, the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Alexander Zakharchenko awarded certificates of honour to the best employees of DPR state governance bodies for their conscientious work in the Donetsk State Academic Music and Drama Theatre.

On December 29, the meeting of the “Donetsk Republic” faction, where parliamentarians discussed the results of the work for 2016, was held in the DPR People’s Council.

The Chairman of DPR People’s Council Denis Pushilin commented on the parliament’s work for 2016 and shared plans for the future in an exclusive interview to the correspondent of the DPR’s official website.

The meeting, where the results of the assistance programme for children, who live near the frontline zone, were summed up, took place on December 28. The Deputy Chairman of DPR People’s Council Olga Makeeva presented a report of the work done. 

The Chairman of DPR People’s Council, the permanent plenipotentiary representative of the DPR in the Contact group at negotiations in Minsk Denis Pushilin took part in “Informally” programme on TV channel “Oplot”.

When “Maidan” was organized for the final nazification of Ukraine, someone decided that one generation brought up in this manner was enough. It did not work. Two Soviet generations in the South-East opposed it. The war has begun.

On December 27, a commemorative event, dedicated to the DPR Rescuer’s Day, was held at the Center of Slavic Culture. The event was attended by the Head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko, the Chairman of DPR People’s Council Denis Pushilin.
