On April 20, DPR People’s Council Chairman Vladimir Bidyovka took part in a number of events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan. The meetings were organized by the Union of Afghan Veterans of the Donetsk People's Republic and the Russian Center.

The Trilateral Contact Group failed to reach agreement on the implementation of a comprehensive ceasefire on the eve of Easter holidays for the first time in the history of the Minsk format. The reason for this is the destructive position of the Kiev representatives in the security subgroup, who refused even to discuss specific measures for the resumption and control of the truce.

On April 12, a solemn closing ceremony of the “Student’s Spring of Donbass” festival, in which socially active and creative youth of the DPR and LPR participated, took place in the Centre of Slavic Culture in Donetsk. The event was attended by the Chairman of the DPR’s People’s Council Vladimir Bidyovka, People’s Council’s deputies, as well as the representatives of ministries and departments.

The future of the Donetsk People’s Republic, as well as the future of any modern state, is determined to a considerable extent by the physical and spiritual health of its citizens.
