Head of Republic and People’s Council Chairman partake in event dedicated to Educators and Science Workers’ Day

On October 4, at the Donetsk State Academic Music and Drama Theatre named after M.M. Brovun, a solemn event dedicated to Educators and Science Workers’ Day was held, in which the Head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, the Chairman of the People’s Council, Vladimir Bidyovka, and the Deputy Chairman of the People’s Council, Olga Makeyeva, as well as deputies, representatives of relevant ministries and departments participated.

During the speech, the Head of the Republic, Denis Pushilin, expressed gratitude to the educators for their high professionalism and dedicated work.

“You once chose an important mission – to be a teacher, a mentor, a guide of knowledge, a nurturer of the best human qualities. This is a grand and painstaking job that requires constant improvement, enormous patience, wisdom and benevolence. Thank you for possessing all these priceless qualities and being an example to our children. Thank you for your enormous contribution to shaping the worldview of the younger generation!

Today, the fields of education and science of the Donetsk People’s Republic are facing enormous challenges, among which are not just education, but also comprehensive assistance in unlocking the potential of our children. Your merit also lies in supporting gifted children, and, as a result, they participate and win in competitions of the highest level – from republican to international.

The high level of education in our country is proved by deeds, including state accreditation in the Russian Federation, which as of today has been acquired by four educational organizations of higher professional education. And this is only the beginning!” Denis Pushilin said.

In turn, the Speaker of Parliament wished the participants of the event professional success.

“The teacher is perhaps the title most dear to the heart. Educating a new rising generation has always been and will be an honourable occupation. When you educate young people, you invest in them not only your knowledge, but also a piece of your best personal qualities. This allows our youth to grow up worthy and loving their Homeland.

We greatly appreciate your work for the future of our state. I wish you strong health, professional success, grateful students and peaceful skies above your heads,” Vladimir Bidyovka said.
