Medical workers congratulated on their professional holiday in Republic’s capital

On June 13, in the Donetsk State Academic Music and Drama Theatre named after M.M. Brovun, a solemn event was held, timed to coincide with Day of Medical Worker. The event was attended by the Head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, the Chairman of the People’s Council, Vladimir Bidyovka, deputies of the People’s Council, representatives of relevant ministries and departments, as well as medical sphere.

During the speech, the Head of the Republic thanked medical workers for their dedicated work for the benefit of the DPR residents.

“Dear friends, I want to congratulate you on your professional holiday! The work of a medical worker has always been held in high esteem, and nowadays, when the war, alas, is not over yet, and there are a lot of difficulties, of course, we double and triple value you.

For the past five years, we all have seen see how much strength our physicians invest in their work, how many soul parts they give, so that our citizens are healthy, so that they receive decent treatment.

Without the development of medicine it is impossible to create a strong and healthy state, therefore, in the Donetsk People’s Republic, healthcare is a socially oriented sector of the republican infrastructure, and our doctors can be called heroes,” Denis Pushilin underlined.

The Chairman of the People’s Council joined the congratulations, noting the high professionalism of the medical workers.

“Dear friends, first of all, congratulations on your holiday, happy Medical Worker Day!

I think everyone will agree that it is difficult to find a more noble cause than saving human lives. You do this every day: perform complex operations, prescribe medicines, care for the sick, take care of the health of the citizens of the Donetsk People’s Republic.

Everyone knows that the greatest asset of any state is its people, and thanks to your work, professionalism, and diligence, you save and increase it.

Thank you for the fact that in the most difficult times you did not leave the citizens of the Republic to the mercy of fate, that despite the shelling and blockades, you not only saved medicine, but also constantly learn, achieve new heights. Thanks you! Happy holiday! I wish you peace, good, well-being and, of course, health,” Vladimir Bidyovka said.

During the official part of the event, the Speaker of the Parliament presented a diploma of the People’s Council to the Minister of Health, Olga Dolgoshapko, for her active social and political activities.
