Miroslav Rudenko: Special status is keystone of political peace package

Yermak’s statement that a special status of Donbass is not negotiable during Minsk negotiations means that Ukraine has no intention to comply with the Package of Measures and is not inclined to end the war in Donbass. This was stated by Deputy of the DPR’s People’s Council Miroslav Rudenko in an interview to the Donetsk News Agency.

ʺAll I can say is that Donbass made its choice in 2014 and will fight for its freedom. While Kiev will be studying the Minsk agreements for the next five years under Zelensky, we will continue following our own course: economic, cultural and legislative integration with Russia. It is widely understood that Ukraine will not be able to implement the Minsk agreements and, in the meantime, we will continue making our way towards independence.

A special status is a keystone of political peace package,ʺ the deputy said.

It should be reminded that Assistant to the President of Ukraine Andrey Yermak stated earlier in an interview to “Leviy Bereg” that a special kind of local self-government in Donbass was not negotiable during the meetings in Minsk and the Normandy format.
