Deputy Marina Zheynova participates in round table devoted to Republic’s achievements for three-year period

On April 24, a round table on the topic “Achievements of the Donetsk People’s Republic for three years” was held in the building of the Donetsk city council.

Marina Zheynova, the deputy to the DPR People’s Council, Nikolay Volkov, the first deputy head of Donetsk city council, Anna Denisenko, the head of the Donetsk city branch of the public movement “Donetsk Republic” took part in the event.

In her speech, Marina Zheynova spoke about the results of the work of the Donetsk People’s Republic’s People’s Council.

“Over the period from 2014, the DPR People’s Council has registered 419 bills, passed 52 bills in the first reading, adopted 182 bills in two readings, 169 bills have been signed by the DPR Head and have been published on the official website of the DPR People’s Council. These figures indicate the fruitful work of the deputy corps.

As an example of the activities of the People’s Council’s committees, I can cite the work of the Committee on Budget, Finance and Economic Policy, which I chair.

During the three years of the Committee’s work as relevant, 33 draft laws have been reviewed, 10 bills have been drafted and submitted for consideration. Of these, 16 laws have been adopted in two readings, four bills in the first reading. The most significant of the projects developed in the Committee and already acting as laws are the Law on the Tax System and the Law on Customs Regulation,” the parliamentarian said.

Marina Zheynova quoted statistics, confirming the effectiveness of lawmaking activity of the People’s Council’s deputies.

“All of the above laws already work and have generally shown their effectiveness. In particular, the tax revenues for 10 months of 2016 more than double the receipts for the corresponding period of 2015.

This information indicates that the legislative base of the Republic, which is being formed in conditions of combat operations, meets constantly changing realities and reacts to external and internal changes,” the deputy noted.
