Natalia Pshenichnaya: Second round of presidential election in Abkhazia held without violations
On September 8, the second round of the presidential election was held in the Republic of Abkhazia. People’s Council deputies Natalia Pshenichnaya, Alexander Bykadorov and Alexander Seryozhenko attended the event as international observers.
According to Natalia Pshenichnaya, the electoral process in the second round met all international standards.
“Elections are one of the most important institutions of a democratic state. It was an honour for us, international observers from the Donetsk People’s Republic, to participate in this process.
During the voting, our delegation did not record any violations; the elections were held in compliance with all international standards. We witnessed the openness and free will of the people. At the polling stations, a high level of organization of the electoral process was noted, all conditions were created there so that citizens could vote for their candidate. There is no doubt that the valid elections fully reflect the will of the people of Abkhazia.
I congratulate the fraternal Abkhazian people on an important event in the life of the Republic and wish them peace, well-being and prosperity,” the parliamentarian said.
