Nikolay Starikov hands money to widows of deceased militia and servicemen of DPR Armed Forces

On August 15, during his visit to the capital of the DPR, Russian public and political figure Nikolay Starikov handed over the money collected by caring Russians to the widows of deceased militiamen and servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Republic.

The Head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, the Chairman of the DPR People’s Council Denis Pushilin and other officials attended the meeting. This is reported by a correspondent of the official website of the Donetsk People’s Republic.

“Russia in all possible ways provides assistance to the Donbass, and this involves public and political organizations. We came up with the idea to collect a certain sum and give it to widows of the militiamen with many children. And I took the responsibility of personally handing these funds to widows and orphans. In total, we collected 1.3 million rubles, which we will give to the 13 neediest families,” said Nikolay Starikov.

In turn, the Head of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, thanked Nikolay Starikov and all Russian citizens for the support they render to the People’s Republic and its people. The DPR Head expressed separate words of gratitude and his sincere condolences to the widows of the deceased militiamen and servicemen.
