Parliament Speaker Vladimir Bidyovka congratulates staff of the IERS named after Gusak on 90th anniversary of medical-scientific institution’s foundation

On June 11, the celebrations dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the founding of the V. Gusak Institute of Emergency and Reconstructive Surgery, as well as on the occasion of the Day of Medical Worker, were held in the capital’s Centre for Slavic Culture. The event was attended by the Chairman of the DPR People’s Council, Vladimir Bidyovka, deputies of the People’s Council, representatives of relevant ministries and departments, and medical workers.

During the speech, the Parliament Speaker expressed his gratitude to the staff of the Institute for the high professionalism and dedication to the profession.

“During the Great Patriotic War, the hospital served as a hospital, saving the lives of soldiers and civilians. The institute continues to keep up with the traditions of self-defying service to its people even now – your employees, sometimes putting themselves in danger, save the citizens of the Donetsk People’s Republic, who have learned firsthand what war means.

You did not leave the institute in rough times, but on the contrary, you did everything so that its former glory would not be lost as a result of hostilities and blockades. Today you successfully continue the 90-year history of professionalism, every day not only defeating diseases and overcoming the strength of circumstances, but also constantly improving your invaluable scientific and practical potential.

You remain true to your profession, not dividing patients by nationality, faith, or opinion. Being part of the institute team is not just a job, but a real vocation, a flame that burns in the chest of each of you,” Vladimir Bidyovka said.

During the official part of the event, distinguished medical workers were awarded with letters of gratitude and certificates. At the end of the official part, a concert involving creative teams of the Republic was organized for the participants of the event.
