Parliamentarians participate in rally dedicated to Day of Crimea’s reunification with Russia
On March 16, an event dedicated to Day of Crimea’s reunification with Russia entitled “Donbass and Crimea are united” took place in Makeyevka and was attended by the Chairman of the DPR’s People’s Council Vladimir Bidyovka, deputies, Head of the Makeyevka City Administration Sergey Goloshchapov, representatives of the public movement “Donetsk Republic” and residents of the city.
Addressing the participants of the event, Vladimir Bidyovka noted the importance of Crimea’s reunification with Russia for the future of Donbass and expressed hope that cooperation between the Republics would be further enhanced.
ʺCrimeans made their conscious choice six years ago and showed their civic position – they participated in the referendum, as a result of which, historical injustice was restored: Crimea has joined Russia.
The peoples of Crimea and our Republic are fraternal. Our way home, to Russia, is thornier, but we will never deviate from it and achieve our end. The main thing is that Crimea, having joined the Russian Federation, has not left us alone in trouble, but has extended a helping hand.
Today, the Republic of Crimea is the region of the Russian Federation that was the first to sign an inter-parliamentary cooperation agreement with us. It is important for us to adopt their experience of transition from Ukrainian legislation to the Russian system of law. The Committee “Russia – Donbass”, the coordinator of which is our friend, Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation from the Republic of Crimea Andrey Kozenko, has also been effective in the integration processes with Russia.
On this day, we wish Crimeans new victories and every success. We are positive that Crimea will be a part of Russia for now and forever!,ʺ the parliamentarian speaker said.
Following the official part, students of educational institutions and guests of honour took part in a flash mob. They sent balloons with a pennant “Donbass and Crimea are united!” up into the sky.
